Burgas Student Earns 1000 GBP Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Achievement

A student from Burgas has won a 1000 GBP scholarship for outstanding academic achievement at the University of Worcester, in England.

Kalin Delev, a former pupil of GS Rakovski School, was one of 112 students presented with a scholarship by the University’s Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive, Professor David Green, during two ceremonies at the University of Worcester Arena last week.
19 year-old Kalin earned his award in recognition of outstanding achievement throughout the academic year.

After receiving his scholarship, Kalin, a second-year Business, Accountancy and Economics student, said: “Winning this award was one of my main goals during my first year of study. It feels fantastic to have set a goal for myself and successfully achieved it.
“I am definitely aiming for repeating this success in my second year.”

Professor Green added: "Congratulations to Kalin on his achievement. Commitment combined with ability produces outstanding results and we are delighted that Kalin is thriving here at Worcester.

“This year we were delighted to award academic scholarships to 112 students and hope to award even more next year as our students go from strength to strength.
“These scholarships are supported by generous philanthropists and the University’s distinguished Honorary Fellows. The award of a scholarship is excellent for a student’s job prospects as well as providing welcome practical support.

“Other scholarships awarded by firms to University of Worcester students include the opportunity for paid work placements, as well as prizes. It is only right that students who excel here at the University of Worcester are rewarded and we hope even more students will earn scholarships next year."
